Home improvement giant adds retail jobs in Jacksonville

Home Depot made a big announcement this week when it said it is adding retail jobs in Jacksonville, among hundreds of other locations.

The home improvement giant is adding over 70,000 new employees to ready itself for the busy spring season in which people landscape, plant flowers, and build their gardens.

Merger could create waste management jobs in Jacksonville

A new merger between Cass Information Systems and Waste Reduction Consultants could result in the addition of more waste management jobs in Jacksonville.

Cass just said that it has acquired Waste Reduction Consultants, Inc., a provider of environmental expense management services. The acquisition extends Cass’ portfolio of services for controlling facility-related expenses.

Waste Reduction Consultants serves multi-location businesses by reducing operating costs through information-driven optimization and procurement of waste removal services.

CEO Bryce Kaspar, who founded Waste Reduction Consultants in 1999, will join Cass and continue to manage the operations based in Jacksonville, FL. “Our team is thrilled to join with Cass and leverage our combined strengths in the marketplace. The integration of our robust waste expense management platform with Cass’s industry leading business process outsourcing backbone positions us to continuously enhance our value proposition,” Kaspar noted.
